For 2023-2024 School Year

  • Routine screening for hearing, vision and scoliosis will be performed this year. You will receive a call with a follow-up letter in the mail if any concerns are noted. Screenings are performed on new entrants, along with any students in grades PK, K, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 if their Primary Health Care provider did not do it at the time of their health exam. Screenings may also be requested by parents and/or teachers/staff of any student if there are concerns.

    • Physicals are required within 12 months of the start of sports.
    • Physicals are required within 12 months of the start of school for the following grades: Any new student 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, & 11.
    • Vaccine requirements must be met within 14 days of the start of school for NYS residents. If transferring from out of state, requirements must be met within 30 days. School exclusion is required by law if immunization requirements are not met. Please check with me or your child's healthcare provider to see if your child is up to date. Religious exemptions are no longer allowed in NYS.

COVID-19 Protocols & Info

  • On March 1st, 2024, the CDC updated their recommendations on COVID-19. There is no longer a set amount of days a positive student must quarantine for. The recommendation is that they may return to school once feeling better and without a fever for 24 hours with the use of fever-reducing medication.
