Mr. Hurley's Fifth and Sixth Grade Math Class

Hello My Name Is...

Mr. Hurley

I began teaching at Johnsburg Central School in 2000.  I'm certified in Elementary Education as well as Secondary Social Studies.  I was originally hired as the AIS Coordinator for the building, grades K-12.  I held that position for five years before moving into an elementary classroom position.  I taught sixth grade for six years with Mrs. Murtagh before moving into fourth grade for one year.  I then taught fifth grade for a year with Mrs. Hayden.   I'm now back in fourth grade for a second time with Mrs. Morris.

I received my teaching degrees from SUNY Plattsburgh.  I completed my Master Degree during the Summer of 2005.  I am originally from Long Island but spent the majority of my childhood growing up in Corinth.  I graduated from Corinth Central School in 1980.  I currently reside there in the house I raised my only child, Lauren, in.

I enjoy this area spending a lot of my free time camping, on the water, taking pictures, fishing and traveling when I can.
