Mrs. Kennedy's Page

  • Mrs. Kennedy graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Education for Special and Childhood Education.  In 2004, she received a Master of Science in Education for Special Education Birth to Grade 2 at SUNY Plattsburgh.   Mrs. Kennedy taught at Willsboro Central School in 2003 and North Warren Central School for the 2003-2004 school year.  Mrs. Kennedy started at Johnsburg Central School in the fall 2004. 
    Mrs. Kennedy resides in Chestertown with her husband, three children and her beloved dogs, a Great Dane and a Portuguese Water Dog.

    Program Information

    Mrs. Kennedy teaches in the High School Special Education Department.  She has many roles.  Her primary role is the Resource Room teacher.  Concepts learned in the regular education classroom are reinforced in the Resource Room through classroom assignments, small group instruction, individual instruction, skill worksheets, etc.  Essays and projects from regular classroom teachers are also worked on in the Resource Room for additional support.  Mrs. Kennedy and her teaching assistant also push-in to regular classrooms to work with the regular education teachers and students.
