Outdoor Classroom

Johnsburg Central School opened the Barton Outdoor Classroom on Monday, September 24, 2018. Through the vision of Principal, Heather Flanagan, this classroom was built for Johnsburg students, staff, and families to enjoy for years to come. This space can be used for shelter during recess, outdoor classes, soccer game viewing, playground viewing, family gatherings, and more. It is located on the playground behind the school. The pavilion was built completely through fundraising, donations and by volunteers. Thank you to all who contributed to this project. Mrs. Flanagan will continue raising funds to add electric and wireless access to the classroom.
