Letter to Parents COVID 19 Case

November 4, 2021

Dear Families,

Late on November 3,  2021, the district learned that an individual from the Johnsburg Central School District tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was last in the building on November 2, 2021.

The County has finished its contact tracing and has decided which students will quarantine.  Students and families quarantined have been notified.

Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

According to guidance from the New York State Department of Health and the CDC, the district thoroughly cleans and disinfects all campus buildings.

Please contact Mrs. Flanagan or me directly if you would like more information about our health and safety procedures. Any additional questions, including information about testing procedures, can be directed to Warren County Public Health (518) 761-6580.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Markwica
Superintendent of Schools
