Dear Families,

Today, April 14, 2021, the district learned that an individual from the Johnsburg Central School District tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was last in the building on March 31, 2021.

A few students have been quarantined due to contact outside of school.  Warren County will contact individuals who have to be quarantined when the contact happens outside of the school setting.

Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

According to guidance from the New York State Department of Health and the CDC, the district continues to thoroughly clean and disinfect all buildings on campus.

Please contact Mrs. Flanagan or me directly if you would like more information about our health and safety procedures. Any additional questions, including information about testing procedures, can be directed to Warren County Public Health (518) 761-6580.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Markwica
Superintendent of Schools
