Posted on 10/05/2021
October 5, 2021
Dear Families,
Late last night, October 4th, 2021, the district learned that a student from Johnsburg Central School District tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was last in the building on October 4th, 2021.
The County has finished their contact tracing and has decided which students need to be quarantined. Students and families that have been quarantined will be notified.
We are asking that everyone continues to be vigilant on getting students tested at the first sign of any symptoms. This will help in stopping the spread and the number of quarantines.
Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.
According to guidance from the New York State Department of Health and the CDC, the district continues to thoroughly clean and disinfect all buildings on campus.
Please contact Mrs. Flanagan or me directly if you would like more information about our health and safety procedures. Any additional questions, including information about testing procedures, can be directed to Warren County Public Health (518) 761-6580.
Sincerely,
Michael J. Markwica
Superintendent of Schools
