Our health services office provides medical care for students during the school day, including managing medications, treating injuries, and monitoring chronic health conditions. Our school nurse works closely with families to ensure students stay healthy and can focus on learning.

 

Health Screenings and Immunization Requirements
Routine screening for hearing, vision, and scoliosis will be performed this year. You will receive a call and a follow-up letter in the mail if you have any concerns. Screenings are performed on new entrants, along with any students in grades PK, K, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 if their Primary Health Care provider did not do it during their health exam. Screenings may also be requested by parents and/or teachers/staff of any student if there are concerns.

  • Physicals are required within 12 months of the start of sports. 
  • Physicals are required within 12 months of the start of school for the following grades: Any new student 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, & 11.
  • Vaccine requirements must be met within 14 days of the start of school for NYS residents. If transferring from out of state, requirements must be met within 30 days. School exclusion is required by law if immunization requirements are not met. Please check with the nurse or your child's healthcare provider to see if your child is up-to-date. Religious exemptions are no longer allowed in NYS.
