Mrs. Cheri Hayes

I am a native of North Creek and graduated from Johnsburg Central School.  I studied cosmetology at O'Brian's School of Cosmology in Burlington, Vermont and became a licensed hairstylist in two states.  I worked for a major hairstyling salon for 20 years, with duties including manager, assistant supervisor, and designer stylist.  During that time I also graduated from Clinton Community College with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science.

I started working for Johnsburg Central School as a substitute aide in 1998-1999 school year and was hired as a long term sub the following year.  In 2000-2001 I was hired full time as a Teaching Assistant and have had the opportunity to work in both the elementary and high school levels.  I am currently working with high school students in a variety of areas including core subjects:  Algebra, Global and US History, Sciences and English, Language, Arts grades 9-12.  I have the opportunity to work with small groups that struggle with certain subjects and help them learn the required material.  I enjoy working with the students, helping them gain confidence as they succeed in their classes.  I have also tutored for several students in both Algebra and History.  Working at Johnsburg has been a rewarding experience for me and I am truly grateful to have been given this opportunity.
